Temur Iakobashvili – Georgia-Iran Relations Fully Set in International Commonwealth Frameworks

Georgia relations with Iran are the same as the International Community has with this nuclear country, The statement was made by Iakobashvili on Parliamentary plenary sitting today as a response to Christian-Democrat Nika Laliashvili question, prior to appointment an Embassador Plenipotentiary to the US.
Namely, Laliashvili was interested in Iakobashvili’s view concerning Georgia-Iran bonds being a new theme in Georgian foreign policy.
Iakobashvili considers that Georgia should ensure balanced and positive links with every neighbor country. As refers to Georgia-Iran relations, there are economic, cultural aspects and politics as well. The point is that, the Georgia-Iran relationship is on the same scale as the International Community. Iakobashvili claims that it is important for Georgia that Iran is a full member of World Commonwealth and in case Georgia contributes to the issue, it will be effective for our country altogether.
